Laurence Cartiaux is a Belgian artist whose work lies at the crossroads of contemporary abstraction and experimental resin techniques. Born in Africa and raised in Belgium, Laurence turned to creative expression from a young age, gradually evolving her practice into a sophisticated exploration of texture, transparency, and color.

Her signature technique is based on the layering of Epoxy resin, meticulously building depth and movement in each piece. The fluidity and transparency of Epoxy resin allow her to capture fleeting moments of tension and serenity. With each new layer, Laurence creates a dialogue between the visible and the invisible, the real and the imagined.

Laurence has been painting for over 30 years, using various materials and mediums, but Epoxy resin has proven to be the ideal technique for her to express her emotions.
